Boston College athletic director Martin Jarmond is close to signing a six-year deal to become the next athletic director at UCLA, sources told Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports.

Jarmond will replace Dan Guerrero at UCLA, who is retiring after 18 years. 

UCLA reportedly has a $19 million deficit in the athletic department from 2019.

Jarmond has earned a reputation as an energetic fund-raiser. He is credited with modernizing BC's athletic department's fundraising, including overseeing the launch of a $150 million digital campaign.

Jalen Hill withdrew his name from the 2020 NBA Draft and will return to UCLA for his redshirt junior season.

Hill averaged 9.0 points and 6.9 rebounds last season.

Junior guard Chris Hill declared for the draft, but could also return to the team.
